QUESTIONS.
Project Silo is a reported eight-building data-center proposal in northeast Brighton. DCAP keeps the public record, the unanswered questions and the next public dates in one place.
The meeting is confirmed. Denver7 reports Mayor Pro Tem Peter Padilla intends to propose a 90-day data-center moratorium. As of Oct. 1, Brighton's Agenda Center has not posted an Oct. 6 City Council agenda.
What the public record establishes.
Denver7 reports an early-stage proposal for eight two-story data-center buildings near County Road 4 and 50th Avenue, totaling roughly 2.5 million square feet. Brighton confirmed receiving a rezoning application; Denver7 reported the proposal had not yet reached City Council for a public hearing.

Square feet across the reported campus concept.
Brighton is the local land-use decision maker for the proposed site.
The city line does not answer every infrastructure question.
Silver Peaks and Lochbuie are nearby communities in Weld County. DCAP keeps Brighton, Lochbuie and Weld County legally separate while tracking roads, utilities, sewer, emergency planning, noise and other questions that can involve more than one jurisdiction.
Brighton
Controls the Project Silo land-use decision.
Lochbuie + Weld County
Separate governments whose residents, infrastructure or services may still be relevant to cross-boundary questions.
Water. Power. Noise. Safety. Public cost.
The point is not to guess the answer. The point is to identify the project-specific record that answers each question.
Seven questions every major decision should survive.
Brighton's 80% industrial-land statement.
Brighton's Sept. 30 economic-development release says the City provides Brighton EDC about $800,000 annually, allows certain city-manager incentive approvals up to $250,000, and repeatedly references an 80% expansion of industrial land designations in Weld County. Brighton's planning page separately says the replacement Comprehensive Plan remains a draft and the 2016 plan remains in effect until a new plan is adopted.
