Weld County says Ordinance 2026-01 applies to unincorporated Weld County: industrial-zone review, proof of water/electricity and property-line noise standards, including a 65 dBC limit.

2026 proposals
SB26-102 and HB26-1030 proposed statewide data-center / large-load frameworks. Neither became law.
Federal
Large-load grid costs
H.R. 9340 addresses recovery of incremental grid-upgrade costs for large-load customers. Federal utility policy is separate from local land-use authority.
Jurisdiction boundary: Weld County's ordinance does not automatically govern a Brighton parcel, and federal legislation does not decide Brighton rezoning.
